You will need:
Ground Cumin
Dried Hot Chili Peppers
1 Marigold
Powered Eggshell
Dried cat escrement
Dried dog escrement
Hairs off the head of both a dog and a cat

PROCEDURE: Write the persons name on a brown piece of paper and burn it. Dry and powder the ingredients and add t to equal amounts of the ash. Blow this powder on the person you want to leave you alone. 

For a Journey  (Unknown)

A chant or charm to mutter under your breath before a journey. Address them to the Going, who is Mercury; and governs travel. At one time there was a little Herm at every crossroads, and travellers would touch it for luck. Here are two you can try.

Facing east say:

"The journey I make is one of need,
I ask the God to pay me heed
That I may safely homeward come,
There and back when my work is done."

or

"May the God of Going hear my call
To my going and coming no ill befall
May I drive with care and may those I meet
Be safe and careful on the street."

The first time you use either or these, do it inside the house with a yellow candle and Mercury incense. You could also make a talisman on Wednesday using the incenses, candle color and flowers sigils and runes appropriate for travel and of Mercury as well as those of Gemini. Use some lavendar and rosemary to bring you calm and wisdom, both of which are necessary on busy roads. You can use fennel and marjoram as well as lavendar, lime, lemon and mace.

you will need:

A root of ginger in the form of a human (or as close as possible) you can trim it and carve on it to make it more realistic
3 yellow ribbons
a small wooden box
This is a protection spell best performed on a Thursday.
Decorate the figure with the yellow ribbons tied in 3 separate places, but not around the neck part, use places like the wrists, legs, middle...As you tie a knot in each ribbon wish for positive luck and chant the following:

"In all the journeys of my life, protect and keep me safe from strife."

Place the figure in the wooden box, seal the lid, and keep it in a safe, dry place. Make contact with the figure before each major journey, and repeat the rite completely every 6 months.

Take an image of the offending person (If you don't have a picture use some soft wax or plasticine and make one of them)  then place and seal it in a container with honey, sugar, flowers and any herbs you consider to bring about sweetness and Light. Light a candle.. cast your circle and visualize all that will come and go fromthem is Sweetness and Light. Bury the container out of sight where it won't be disturbed.

This spell is good, because your giving them a "gift" of "sweetness and light" and you do not incur bad karma in the process.
This original spell came from Rowan and was modified to suit my needs.

This spell is specifically for someone who has a skin problem that is persistent and makes them feel insecure or causes them irritation. This includes but is not limited to rashes, acne, bruises, and swelling.  Best if performed on a new or waxing moon, even better just before going to sleep. Following a bath, make yourself comfortable somewhere in your bedroom. You must be able to easily reach the problem area on your body or face. Place a hand over the skin. Close your eyes and imagine something calm and serene, specifically, a scene where there is water. This could be an ocean, a quiet lake, or rain in the tropics.Chant three times:

"Goddess heal me
So mote it be!"

You can replace Goddess with the name of a healing deity if you wish. Move your fingers slowly over the infliction. Now imagine it is smooth, flat, and healthy. As you slowly pass your hand over the skin, it should feel almost as if it is already healed. Thank the Goddess or the deities invoked.This spell, if successfully performed, will cause the skin problem to disappear within a few days. If you are having serious problems, see a dermatologist!

Confidence Spell

You will need:

A lionhead charm (buy or make one)
Yellow candle
Essential oil of rose, orange, or hazel

Buy, or make, a charm that resembles a lion's head. (It can be as simple as you want it to be as long as you know what it is.) Pass it three times through the flame of a yellow candle, meditating on your esteem and the respect you truly deserve. Then infuse the charm with your energy by annointing it with the oil. Wear it (on a chain or in your pocket, wherever!) on you, and when you see or touch it, you will feel your confidence build within you. I know it's hard to find a lion's head charm, and you may wonder what the
easiest way would be to make one. I would suggest taking a flat, smooth stone, clean it off, and use either orange paint or a thin permanent orange marker to draw a simple lion head on it. This way it will be fire-proof, and you can keep it in your pocket.

Prepare:

A large bowl
A wooden spoon
A sifter or colander
As many of the following herbs as you can find: Cinnamon, basil, clover, ginger, marjoram, tea, catnip, jasmine, ginseng, lavender, pine, sage, cloves

This is inherently a simple spell but you can make it into an all-out ritual. Best if done when the moon is waxing, unless you are wishing to get rid of a problem. (This is a lot of fun if you make the powder with a friend!)Place all the ingredients into the bowl. Stir and grind them with the spoon. Continue to grind and blend until everything is mixed into a coarse substance- there should be no large pieces. It should be grainy and almost powder-like.Dump the substance into the colander or sifter and gently shake it back and forth over another bowl. The finest powder will get through the sifter but the large pieces will not. What you should have when you are finished is at least a handful of herbal wish powder.

Make sure you go out on a nice day to perform the spell. Windy days are perfect! Find a nice clearing and take your wish powder with you in a pouch. Take a handful and say a chant- it's best that you write you own so you can state the specific need of the wish. Make SURE you are very clear about what you wish for and how you want to get it. Throw your powder to the wind and let it carry your wish away to come true

Mynie's Hecate Oil

Mix the essential oil in a base of Sesame or Almond oil - good old Olive will do too! Add the dried Mint leaf and blend. Wear during ritual of defensive magik. Also wear during the Waning of the Moon in honor of Hecate (my favorite aspect of the Goddess!) 

Preparation: This is a 9-day spell that uses three candles -- white, pink, and red, to successively attract someone, then induce romantic feelings in them, and finally engender passion.
Here's what you will need:

     1 White Bride and Groom candle or other white     figural couple candle
     1 Pink Bride and Groom candle or other pink figural couple candle
     1 Red Bride and Groom candle or other red figural couple candle
     a nail or needle to carve the candles
     a saucer for the candles
     a basin for water
     three pieces of paper
     a pencil
     a black ink pen
     a red ink pen.
     1 bottle herb-based Love-Drawing Dressing Oil such as:
Love Me (generalpurpose lover's oil)
Follow Me Boy (used especially for female domination)
Come To Me (to draw someone closer)
Kiss Me Now! (for sex without partnership commitment)
Attraction (general attraction for love, money, friendship)
Lavender Love Drops (for gay or lesbian relationships)

You can also use three different oils (one for each candle) or make up a mixture from any or all of the oils.

Doing the Job: Before dawn on the first day, bathe in pure water to which you have added three drops of one or more of the oils named above. Pour the water  over your head 9 times as you say,

"Spirit of Love, I do this work for love and love only, that i may be loved by [name] as i myself love [him or her]. Amen. "

Rub upward only as you bathe and dry yourself in the air only. Collect a basin of the used bath water, which now has your essence in it. Dress in  fresh clothes, carry the basin of bath-water to a crossroads and throw the water over your left shoulder toward the
sunrise. Walk back home and don't look back. You are now ready to start the work.  On the 1st day, start at Sun-up. Take the first paper and write on it your full name and the one you Love's full name in pencil, all in one stroke, without lifting the pencil from the paper, so that the two names form a circle and the end is joined to the beginning. Carve the full name of the person you love on the gender-appropriate side of the White Candle. Carve your full name on the other side and dress the candle with the love oil. Next, name the two sides of the candle, saying,

"Spirit of Love, I name this woman [or man] [your full name] and this man [orwoman] [name of lover].
As is done to this candle, may it be done to our thoughts."

Place the name-paper under the candle, then dress the candle with your saliva, saying,

"[Name of lover], love me I love you. Desire me as I desire you. Come to me as i come to you.
By my loving speech and tongue, be mine as i am yours."

Light both wicks of the candle as you say this prayer:

"Spirit of Pure Love, I burn this candle in pure love's name that I may be loved by [name] as I myself love[him or her]
and that [name] will burn for my love as I burn for [his or hers]. Let our thoughts be one. Amen."

Let the candle burn about 1/3 of the way, then pinch it out. On the 2nd day, again burn the white candle at Dawn, and say the "Pure Love" candle-lighting prayer. Burn it until it is about 2/3 gone.

On the 3rd day, again light it at Dawn, say the "Pure Love" candle lighting prayer, and let it burn until it goes out, even all the way to burning the paper with your names on it.

On the 4th day, start at Noon. Write both of your names on the 2nd paper as before, but this time use black ink. Carve and dress the Pink Candle. as before and name the two sides as before, saying:

"Spirit of Love, i name this woman [or man] [your full name] and this man [or woman] [name of lover].
As is done to this candle, may it be done to our hearts."

Then place the candle against your bare body, between your breasts if you are a woman, or at heart-level if you are a man, saying,

"[Name of lover], love me as I love you. Desire me as i desire you. Come to me as I come to you.
By the link between my heart and yours, be mine as i am yours."

Light both wicks of the candle as you say this prayer:

"Spirit of Romantic Love, I burn this candle in romantic love's name that I may be loved by [name] as I myself love [him or her]
and that [name] will burn for my love as I burn for [his or hers]. Let our hearts be one. Amen."

Let the candle burn about 1/3 of the way, then pinch it out. On the 5th day, again burn the pink candle at Noon, and say the "Romantic Love" candle-lighting prayer . Burn it until it is about 2/3 gone.

On the 6th day, again light it at Noon, say the "Romantic Love" candle-lighting prayer, and let it burn until it goes out, even all the way to burning the paper with your names on it.

On the 7th day, start at Sun-down. Write both of your names on the 3rd paper as before, but this time use red ink. Dress the Red Candle. with oil as before and name the two sides, saying:

"Spirit of Love, i name this woman [or man] [your full name] and this man [or woman] [name of lover].
As is done to this candle, may it be done to our bodies."

Then, if you are a woman, dress the candle with menstrual blood or sexual fluid; if a man, dress it with semen, saying,

"[Name oflover], love me as I love you. Desire me as i desire you. Come to me as I come to you.
By the nectar of my body, be mine as I am yours."

Light both wicks of the candle as you say this prayer:

"Spirit of Passionate Love, I burn this candle in passionate love's name that I may be loved by [name] as I myself love [him or her] and that [name] will burn for my love as I burn for [his or hers]. Let our bodies be one. Amen."

On the 8th day, again burn the red candle at Sunset, and say the "Passionate Love" candle-lighting prayer. Burn it until it is about 2/3 gone.

On the 9th day, again light it at Sunset, say the "Passionate Love" candle-lighting prayer, and let it burn until it goes out, even all the way to burning the paper with your names on it. As the red candle burns to the end, again bathe in pure water to which you have added 3  drops of one or more of the oils named above. Pour the water over your head 9 times as you  say,

"Spirit of Love, I have done this work for love and love only, that I may be loved by [name]
as I myself love [him or her]. My love is mine! Amen!"

Set aside a basin of the bath-water. The next morning, sprinkle some of the bath water at your loved one's door step to mark it and
then sprinkle as you walk to your door and mark it also. When you go to see the one you love, wear one of the love oils. If you write to him, dress the letter with love oil. Cleaning Up: Wrap up any left-over candle wax in a red cloth. Secure it with red thread, tie it, and bury it in your back yard.

Do this during the waning moon.Use a brown candle (an image candle, if you can) to  represent the person who is harassing you. Write the person's name on the front and back of the candle. On a small piece of parchment paper, write:

'From now on, (name) will say nothing but sweet words
  about me and to me. By the power of Aradia, so mote it be!'

Put a drop of honey in the middle of the paper and roll it into a ball. Heat your athame, make a gash in the candle (in its mouth, if it's an image candle) and stuff the paper ball into it. Let the candle burn a little while every night for an odd number of nights, to a maximum of nine nights. Throw the remnants into flowing water, but save some candle drippings or ash to sprinkle in the path of your oppressor.

Write the person's name (and birthdate if possible) onto a piece of paper, and place that into a freezer safe container of water (Making sure to leave a gap for the water to expand when it becomes ice) say a few words like:  (And they don't have to rhyme)

    "Into the freezer you go ...<name>....
    Cool your temper
    Cool your fire
    Treat me with respect!"

Leave the spell in there until they get better toward you (or you may have to leave it there for a while!)

Write the person's name and what they have done to you on a small piece of paper. Light it from an altar candle and drop it to burn away in the cauldron. Stand before the altar, the ashes in your right hand, and say;

    "Wolf and horse, old signs of might.
    Lend your strentgh to me this night
    The pain and grief they so easily give,
    Must be returned so they may live,
    To know and feel what they have done
    And change their ways, with harm to none.
    Send back the pain, teach them this night,
    And help them to do what they know is right."

Go outside and throw the ashes to the winds, knowing that they will realize what they have done to you.

Put a piece of amethyst and  1 teaspoon each of dried basil, cedar and thyme in a cloth bag. Carry it with you when you have to be around this person.

Needed:
apache tear
7 star anise seeds
4 inch square of yellow fabric
7 inches of gold ribbon

Place the stone in the center of the fabric. Add the star anise seeds one at a time while chanting:

    "One for luck,
    Two for money,
    Three for favor,
    Four for honey.
    Five for old,
    And Six for new.
    Seven being successIn all that I do."

Draw up the ends of the cloth and tie the pouch with the gold ribbon. Carry the charm in your pocket or on your person. good luck to follow.

On a Saturday night during the Waning Moon, collect your ingredients, and go to a place where you can be alone for at least 15 minutes.

Ingredients:
*A picture of the intended
*Black cloth
*Black thread or cord
*A picture of yourself
*White candles

Place white candles about your alter. Cast the circle and try to relax your mind and concentrate on the work to be done. Take the picture of the intended in your hands and say this:

                             ________, Stay away!
                          You are not welcome, this I say!
                              ________, Go away!
                           You cannot harm in any way!

Wrap the black cloth around the picture and bind it with the cord or thread. Say this:

                     You who would harm, You who would maim,
                        If you proceed, You'll face the same.
                        With cloth and cord, Of darkest night,
                       I've bound your deed, With shining light.
                          You cannot harm, So stay away,
                         I am protected, Both night and day.

With this, the spell is done. Put the package into the freezer until morning, and then throw it in a garbage bin off your property, and walk or drive away without looking back. Carry the picture of yourself in your pocket or in your purse, knowing that you are protected from their harm.

You will need;
a gray candle
awl, pin, or crystal
Your power oil

Write three times on the gray candle what is hurting you to neutralize it. Annoint it with your power oil. Saying,

" By and By I say goodbye To the things that have Blocked my mind,
to all That which has kept me blind And chained aside my goals To find.
I now release and set free Myself, whom I have bound Without cause or need.
I open up my inner soul And let it fly to its higher Goals and seal all open holes
Against any negative outer foes Including my own blocks and Holes that have come between me
And my positive future to know!
     So mote it Be!"

Allow the candle to burn itself out and flush the remains down the toilet! It is done.

 Sometimes, a Witch will need to protect herself (or himself) from   other's who wish to do them harm.   This could be for any reason at all, nevertheless, we need a spell to   protect ourselves.   The following is the ingredients for a Witch's Protection Bottle and
 it works in two ways. It not only protects you, but it will deflect   the harm towards you back to the originator.
 

   WITCH'S PROTECTION BOTTLE

Get a glass jar such as a Mason jar, or even a baby food jar, anything   that has a lid to it.

Fill the jar halfway with small sharp objects such as pins, metal  scrapings, broken glass, razor blades, etc.  Be careful when you are filling the jar!  Once the jar is half full with these objects, fill the jar up with a  holy water mixture of salt and water.   Put the top on the jar and be sure it's secured.   This jar should be buried in the ground at least twelve inches deep.   As long as the bottle remains in the ground, you will be protected  from harm that is sent your way.   If you bury the jar somewhere away from home, and you wont know if it  will still be there in a year (City Witches dont always have  backyards!), then be sure to repeat this process each year.

Light three black candles, and as they burn, speak this charm for thrice return:

Broken this spell, broken this curse,
By these candles, by this verse.
Reflected back, three times three,
Your hexes have no effect on me.
Curse return, by candles three,
Burn away and set me free.
Live and learn, crash and burn,
Three times three, this hex return.
With harm to none, this lesson be told;
Whatever is sent out, returns three-fold.

Allow the candles to burn themselves out. Do this 5 nights in a row, during the Waxing Moon, at dusk - as the sun dies and darkness descends

If someone has a court case against you or threatens you with one, the classic hoodoo spell is to silence them. To do this, get a beef tongue from the butcher and nine sewing needles. Write the person's full name nine times on a piece of paper (which piece of paper can be a photo of them, if you have one). If you know their birthdate, add that too. Turn the paper 90 degrees and write your name crossing and covering their name nine times, and as you do so, say, nine times,

"[Name], i cross and cover you. Come under my command. I command you to hold your tongue."

Fold the paper toward you to draw you wish in, then turn and fold it toward you again. Slit the beef tongue open with a horizontal cut, just big enough to put the folded paper in. Using the nine needles, "stitch" the tongue shut again. Cover the tongue in red pepper powder, black pepper powder, and salt Now, at this point, different folks do different things with the tongue.

A very old African-American tradition is to get a brown candle, dress it with Court Case Oil and light it, then while it burns put the beef tongue into a pot of water with red beans, a chopped onion, salt, and cayenne pepper, and cook it up. If the matter is going before a judge, and the person you want to silence is a witness, you can put it on to cook while court is in session. If someone is threatening to sue, you cook it any time. If you use small offertory candles. keep them burning the entire time the tongue is cooking, lighting each one from the last. Or use brown 7-day candle, which will stay alight the entire time. When the tongue is done cooking and the beans are ready to eat, you serve it up and eat it. And that means eating the paper, too. You are symbolically swallowing the other person's ability to speak. Be careful not to swallow the needles. Put them aside and after your dinner of "hot stewed tongue," carry them to a crossroads, throw them over your left shoulder and walk home without looking back.

Some urban hoodoo practioners like to put the prepared beef tongue, uncooked, in the freezer, "freezing" the person's tongue. This is a modern idea, obviously, because freezers were only invented in the 20th century, but it has great symbolism on its behalf. Santeria practitioners use the same African-derived beef tongue ritual, but they are likely to place the uncooked tongue on the accuser's or witnesses's doorstep as a warning, "decorating" it with cayenne pepper to make it "hot" for the potential speaker. They may also light three brown candles dressed with Court Case Oil around the tongue for the person to find when they open their door. To protect against slander, gossip, and false accusations, carry a pinch of slippery elm bark chips in your conjure bag. Some folks also put a pinch of powdered slippery elm bark into their sewed-tongue stew, too; it is perfectly edible and acts as a thickener, like file gumbo. In the case that the matter cannot be resolved and goes to court, carry Deer's Tongue Leaves for your lawyer's eloquence, Calendula Flowers for winning in court, and use Little John to Chew (also kknown as Galangal or Court Case Root) to chew while you are in court so that the judge will favour you. 

Burn dried galangal roots every night at midnight for two weeks in a row before your court date. On the night before going to court, put the ashes in a green flannel mojo bag along with a shark's tooth and a piece of turquoise upon which your full name and birthdate and the sacred Pagan symbol of the pentagram has been inscribed. Seal the bag; consecrate and charge it, and then wear or carry it to the courtroom to gain a favorable decision.

One yellow seven-day-candle
One purple seven-day candle
Five blue votive candles
Your name, the court docket number, name of the case,
and the name of the attorney on a small piece of paper
Cinquefoil
Powdered mustard

Place the paper with your name, your attorney's name, the court docket number, and the name of the case under the purple seven-day candle. Dress yellow, purple and blue candles with rose oil. Inscribe the sign of Jupiter on the four blue candles with a pin or nail. Surround the purple candle with the blue candles. One brown candle (any size). Rose oil. The names of those testifying against you one a different small piece of paper. Say:

"The Goddess reigns supreme. She is clothed with the sun, the moon beneath her feet.
She holds in her arms the strength of the universe. She cannot be dethroned. She is joy, truth, order and hope.
None can depose her. She is the beginning and the end of all things.
The God is my protector and my champion, and lends his power to her. The floods of discontent have lifted up against me, threatening to engulf me. The waves are the many voices of my enemies.
The Lord and Lady are mightier than the many waves of mine enemies' sea. My testimony and those who testify for me will be sure, strong, and winning. In the names of the Lord and Lady, victory shall be mine!"

Clap your hands to seal the spell. Sprinkle cinquefoil and powdered mustard on the paper with the names of those who are against you. Place the names of those testifying against you under the brown candle. Light the remaining candles, and say:

"Plead my cause, Goddess, with them that strive against me.
Fight against them that wish to harm me, or who speak out against me.
Take hold of your shield and sword, my Lady and Lord, and stand up for me.
Draw out the spear and stop the way against those that persecute me.
Let them be confounded and shamed that seek to hurt me.
Let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my pain.
Let them be as chaff before the wind; and let their Karma chase them.
My Lady, Great Goddess of the angels, send your messengers on the wild hunt, seeking them out,
bringing their actions to rest in their own arms. Send them to the pit they, Themselves, have dug.
Let their karmic destruction come upon them at unawares and let his/her words catch them and snare them in their own deceit. Rescue me, my Lord and Lady from this adversity. Let not my enemies rejoice over me.

This blend is designed to protect the user against the wrath of the court and to obtain a judgement that is favorable. It is used as an  annointing oil for candles or worn as a perfume.

Another preparation to protect against negative results in court cases, it is said to guarantee favor, compassion and fairness from the magistrate's bench.
 

Friendly Judge Oil
2 parts carnation
1 part anise seed
1 part cinnamon
Add 2 tb. of this mixture to 2 oz. olive oil. Steep 2 weeks and strain.
Add a small piece of galangal root to the bottle.

Burn some hickory root till it is just ashes. Mix these with some blueing powder. Put the mixture in a small box or blue sachet and place it over the doors of your home.

Three days before you scheduled court appearance, make  this wash. Put the bottle in a consecrated dark place and chant over it. Continue the chanting each evening and morning. On the morning of the court date, pour this mixture out of your front door where you must walk through it when you leave the house on your way to court. Carry a large piece of High John the Conqueror root in your pocket to the courtroom.

Wash Ingredients-

The purpose of the angel trap is to capture and dissolve any 'angels' created on the astral by the fundamentalists to seek out and harrass anyone that does not share their religious beliefs.

The Angel Trap was originally published in Green Egg. The author's name isFrater Scientibus. The author of this version is Julie Waters. She changed it slightly and made it her own.

* I have added an extra instruction at the beginning and it works  wonderfully for me.

You will need:

a clean jar with a tight lid
soapy water
kosher salt
paint (black, red and yellow)
sealing wax
a lighter or matches

Preparation:

* With your black paint, paint X's all around the middle of the jar. They don't have to be large to be effective. When that is dry, paint an X on the bottom of the jar. Let dry. The purpose of the X's is this: when the angels get trapped in the jar, they will look for a way out. There will be none. They will have no choice but to dissolve. They will also know never to bother you again for they will know what the consequences will be. Pour the soapy water into the jar, swirl it around coating all sides. Pour the water back out.

Slowly pour the salt into the jar. Turn the jar at an angle to coat all sides. While this is drying, paint the lid black. Let dry. Next, take the lid and paint a pentagram on the top of it using the red paint. When that is dry, paint a spiral in the center of the pentagram using the yellow paint. Visualize this spiral as being a pathway into the center of the jar. When the spiral is dry, carefully put the lid back on the jar making sure not to dislodge the salt. Use the wax to seal the jar.

"Rich I'll be, money and prosperity come hither to me.
Let the candle burn out. "

LOVE PENDLULUM

The pendulum has many uses. It can be used to communicate with deities, the dead or to divine love. To do this spell, you need a ring, RED thread, a picture of your loved one. Hold the pendulum (the ring with the thread through it) tightly. Visualize your loved one. Close your eyes and chant;

    "Av ml Romani mal Pawdel dur chambas Av kitane mansa?"

Say this three times. As you do, the pendulum will start to swing. If it swings toward you and away from you, you and your loved one are bound to marry. If it swings from side to side, forget him/her! If it swings clockwise, you and your loved one shall love each other deeply. If it swings counter-clockwise, its the same deal as if it swings from side to side. So mote it be! =) LOVE CHARM Get a piece of red or pink cloth. Fill it with lilac, rose petals and cinnamon. Tie it with white thread. Keep it near your bed, in your locker, in your purse, wherever you think it should go. It will attract love.

MONEY SPELL
To do this spell you need 5 pennies, 5 dimes, 5 quaters, 5 kernels of dried corn or popcorn seeds, 5 tsps of wheat flour, 5 sesame seeds, 5 cinnamon seeds, 5 cloves, 5 whole allspice, 5 pecans. Place each item in a bottle. Cap it real tight. Shake the bottle with your projective hand (your writing hand) for five minutes while chanting;

    "Herbs and copper Silver and grain Work to increase my money gain!"

Place the bottle near your purse or wallet, on a table.

PROTECTiON CHARM
 If you feel in danger or threatened, prepare this charm. Fill one jar small enough to carry with you with fennel seeds, marigold, bay leaves, nutmeg and mustard seed. Whenever you feel threatened, inhale the charm deeply. You will be protected. A Word Of Caution; This charm doesn't exactly smell like a spring breeze. CiRCLE OF SAFETY Sit on the ground or on a chair. Visualize a
bright purple ball of energy over you, strengthening itself to protect you. Say;

    "Thrice around me, circle's wound. Evil sink into the ground."

FiRE SPELL
Look deeply into a roaring fire or a candle. Watch the flames. Chant;

    "Craft the spell in the fire. Weave it well, craft it higher! None shall pass my fire-y wall. None shall pass, no, none at all."

WITCHES PROTECTION SPELL
Sometimes, a Witch will need to protect herself (or himself) from other's who wish to do them harm. This could be for any reason at all, nevertheless, we need a spell to protect ourselves.

The following ingredients for a Witche's Protection Bottle and it works in two ways. It not only protects you, but it will deflect the harm towards you bak to the originator. Get a galss jar, such as a mason jar, anything that has a lid to it. Fill the jar half way with small sharp objects such as pins, metal scrapings, broken glass, razor blades, etc. Be careful when filling the jar so you don't
cut yourself. Once the jar is half full with these objects, fill the jar up with a holy water mixture of salt and water. Put the top on the jar and be sure it's secured. This jar should be buried in the ground as least twelve inches deep. As long as the bottle remains in the ground, you will be protected from harm that is sent your way. If you bury the jar somewhere away from home, and you don't know if it will still be there in a year (City Witches don't always have backyards!), then be sure to repeat this process each year.

GOOD LUCK SPELL
Tools:

Prepare your work area. Set up any tools you will use in addition to the candle.

Concentrate on the purpose of your work without letting negative thoughts enter your mind. For this spell it is best to have a general idea of what you want, besides general good luck. Before you start, bathe in protection herbs or bath salts. While bathing concentrate again on what it is you want, without negativity. After bathing, go to your work area. Cast the circle. Light the incense.
Envision a large, blue ball of light surrounding you and your work. Hold the candle between your palms, close you eyes, and direct all your positive energy into the candle. open your eyes and put the candle in its holder. On a small piece of paper, write down what it is that you want (money, job, etc.). Place the paper under the candle holder. Say (either aloud or to yourself):

    "This candle represents the good luck that will come to me".

Light the candle and say:

    "As the light of this flame grows, I can see good luck around me."

Sit back and watch the flame. Envision what you will look and feel like when your wish comes to you. See yourself holding with the object you desire, or with the desired goal you wish to achieve. When the candle has burned 1/3 of the way, say:

    "As the flame of the candle dissipates with time, good luck will be mine."

Continue to do your meditation, envisioning the blue ball around you, seeing yourself how you will be when your good luck arrives. When the candle has burned 2/3 of the way, repeat:

    "As the flame of this candle dissipates with time, good luck will be mine."

Continue to meditate as the candle burns. When the candle has almost burned away, burn the piece of paper and place the ashes in the bowl. Repeat the affirmation. Extinguish the candle by blowing on it and envisioning bad luck also being swept away by your breath. After the candle's leftover wax has cooled, combine the ashes and wax together and bury it in the Earth as close to home as possible.

OVERCOME DEPRESSION SPELL

It is best to find a work area that you can leave untouched for three days. If you must put away tools, try to at least keep your candle out in the open. This spell is used to uplift your enery and overcome depression. read over this spekk and customize it proir to use, the work will go much smoother. Prepare your work are by setting up any tools you may use. while setting up, CONCENTRATE on the purpose of your work. don't let negative thought enter your mind. Before you start your work, bathe in purification herbs, or favorite bath salts. While you're bathing, concentrate again on the purpose of your work. Again, don't let negative thoughts enter your mind. After bathing, go to your work area. Cast a circle and light your incense. Envision a large, yellow ball of light surrounding you and your work area. Hold the yellow candle between the palms of your hands and direct all of your positive energy into the candle. Place the candle in its holder. Prior to lighting the candle, say (either aloud or to yourself):

    "This candle represents the love I have for myself"

Light the candle and say:

    "As I light this candle, the veil of darkness that is ever present in my mind is lifting.
    The darkness ceases to exist as the light of this flame glows. Long has the darkness filled my mind,

    my spirits are lifting and the negative energy is wahing away. I will be happy, my life will be peaceful.

Sit back and watch the candle burn. meditate on how good it feels to be happy and envision the veil of darkness lifting. When the candle has burned 1/3 of the way, say: "As the flame of the candle is extinguished, the light burns forever in my mind" and blow out the candle. Repeat this for two more nights. On the last night, after the candle has burned away and the leftover wax has
cooled, throw away the wax and envision your depression being thrown out with the wax. You will overcome your depression!

PROSPERITY SPELL
Tools you will need:
- Protection incense (herbs or oils will work fine also)
- Green 8" taper candle
- Pen
- Paper
- Heat resistant bowl

This spell is used to create tangible prosperity. read over this spell and customize it prior to use - the work will go much smoother. prepare your work area by setting up any tools you may use in addition to your spell candle. ATTRACT A LOVER SPELL

As a few of the other spells posted, try to do this spell in an area that you can leave untouched for three days. if you can't, try to at least leave the candle out. You may choose a fictitious name for the type of person you want to attract in order to make this spell easier. Prepare your work area by setting up your tools that your going to use in addition to your spell candle. Love or protection incense is recommended. while setting up CONCENTRATE on the purpose of your work, and DO NOT let negative thoughts enter your mind. Bathe in purification herbs, or favorite bath salts, before you start. While bathing, again, concentrate on your purpose and don't let negative thoughts enter your mind. After bathing, go to your work area. Light the incense and cast your circle.
envision a large, pink ball of light surrounding you and your work. hold the candle between your palms and direct all your energy into it. Place the candle in its holder. say (either aloud or to yourself):

    "This candle represents the love between (your name) and (the fictitious name of intended lover)."

Light the  candle and say:

    "As i light this candle, the love between my intended lover and me grows strong. Our love is such, that all feels the attraction.
    As this candle burns, it draws us ever near.
    Powerful is the persuasion! (intended lover's name)'s days are long and filled with yearning for me.
    (intended lovers name)'s nights are long and filled with desire for me. to be as one, together, is all that (name) would wish.
    To e as one, forever is (name)'s immediate need. for no rest shall she/he find, until she/he is by my side!"

Sit and meditate on your intended lover and the desire that person has for you. Concentrate on your desire for your lover. When the candle has burned 1/3 of the way, say: "My lover will come to me" and blow out the candle. Repeat this for two more nights. 

   Materials:
     Pink Candle
     Good Luck/Friendship Oil
     Pink silk Ribbon
     White Silk Ribbon

   Cast the Circle
   Arrange altar
   Invoke Goddess and God

   You will want to anoint the pink with Good Luck oil all the while  thinking of the friends that you want to make. Imagine yourself
   laughing with them, going out with them. Really see yourself with  them.  After your candle has been anointed, you may light it. At this point  you may call out the things that are important to you in a friend:   honesty, trust, open mindedness (important for every Wiccan!), humor, whatever. As you light the candle, see the flame as being the energy   that burns betwen any two close friends.

   When this is completed, take your two pieces of silk ribbon and weave  them together. Simply winding them around each other will do. While  you do this, think of bringing that friend closer to you. This binding  process is reminiscent of pagan handfasting rituals. You are binding that friend to you, making them loyal to you, a way any good friend should be. You DO NOT want to bind a specific person to you, as that kind of magick is harmful since is harms the other person's free will. Only bind the idea of the perfect friend to you.  Once you have done this, tie the ribbon to the base of your candle as  best as you can. The candle's light is a beacon to bring friendship to  you and another person.

   When this is done, you may wish to sit and meditate on the spell that  you have just cast, sending your energies out to bring that perfect  friend to you. When you feel that your spell has been completed, then  it has. Let your candle burn all the way out and release your cirlce,  thanking the Goddess and the God.

At one minute after midnight on a festival date, you should have all set up: one gold candle six green candles, and nine white candles. And of  course salt. Place the gold candle in the center of the table and circle it with the six green candles. Then enclose these inside a circle of nine white candles. Use the salt to pour a protective circle around the candles. Light the candles, starting with gold, then green, then white. Chant three times:

    "Orbiting Jupiter, Trine the Sun:
    Bring money on the run.
    As my will, so mote it be"

Concentrate on increasing finances for a while. Extinguish candles.

To Bless a New Relationship
Bake a fresh loaf of bread. Hold it up to the moon and ask the lady to blessthe bread as well as the relationship. Break off a
piece of the bread for your partner, as well as one for yourself as well. As you share time together, share the bread as well. (Do not cut the bread with a knife or any other cutting tool. Just break off  the pieces with your hands. Adding butter or jam might be a good idea to help sweeten things up a bit.)

***To Attract a Love
Play a CD or Tape of some romantic music that means something to you. Make sure that the music does not include songs that
you associate with another person. It is important to keep specific people out of your mind performing this spell. On a sheet of
cardboard, light a candle of your favorite color to represent you. Then, light a red or pink candle to represent whoever your new love may be. Using a red magic marker or crayon, draw a heart around the red candle. Every day for at least a week, relight the candles in the evening, and as soon as you light the candles, move them slightly closer together, so that on the last day, the candles are as close together as possible.

Fill a small pillowcase with anise seeds, dragon's blood, and lavender and place the pillowcase under your pillow when you go
to sleep. Ask the Celtic Goddess, Mare (MAH-re), the bringer of dreams to only bring you nice dreams.

Powder some dragon's blood, and in a small bottle, mix it with sugar andsalt. Cover tightly and secure it someplace in the
home where it will not be seen or disturbed. This will help keep things peaceful and quiet.

***For A Peaceful Home
Gather freshly cut parsley and place it in a pan of water. Let it soak for nine minutes, and then sprinkle the water throughout the house while visualizing a calm environment. Peace will be restored.

***For Protection and Purification (Bath)
Steep a teaspoon of basil in a cup of boiling water, and strain out the herb. Add it to you bath water for a protective and
cleansing influence. It is particularly useful to clean off the feelings left by contact with those who are negative or controling.

***To Attract Customers to a Business or Visitors to a Home
Make a fine powder out of some basil leaves and sprinkle them around the main enterence to the home or place of business. It
is believed that only good and friendly people will enter, since it supposedly repels those who intend harm toward the workers
of a business or the occupants of a home.

***To Lose Your Troubles
Take a handful of earth and gaze into it. Put all your troubles and thoughts of distress into it. State exactly what it is that's
troubling you. When finished, throw the dirt behind you and walk away without turning around to look at it.

***To Bring Certain Influences Into Your Life
In a plot of prepared land, or in a meedium sized flower pot, sow the seeds of an appropriate plant in the form of a symbol or
rune representative of your need. Tend to the plants. After they sprout, draw a circle around them in the earth or soil with
your power hand. Stand in quiet contemplation of the growing, living symbol. As it has sprung into existance, so shall your
need. You may want to look in a magical herbal book for the magical influences of certain herbs.

***To Help Heal Depression
Light a green candle. As you gaze into the candle for a few moments, try to relax as much as you can and clear all thoughts
from your mind. Visualize the Mother Goddess sitting in front of you. Listen for a moemnt to hear if she has any words of
encouragement for you. Visualize her next hugging your and holding you as you rock gently back and forth from side to side
easing away your pain and sorrow. Another good idea, if you suffer from cronic depression is to see a therapist of some sort. There may be another way to deal with your problems, and sometimes just talking about it helps too.

***To Enchant A Book
Lught a blue and an indigo candle. Invoke a Goddess of Wisdom, and ask for her help to enchant the book. Inscribe the book
letting the inscription express the desired wish.

***To Help in Times of Financial Difficulties
With clove or cinnamon oil, trace a money symbol or rune on the largest demonination of bill that you have. Put this in your
wallet and resist spending it for as long as you can. Every time you look at the bill, visualize the rune to reinforce its power.

***To Bring A Loved One Back

       1st Spell: Take his picture and with four pins pin it facing against the back of the headboard, so the face looks "through the headboard" at the sleeper. That will fix his mind on you.

       2nd Spell: Take his or her photograph and place it face down on a table. Place a red candle on top of it. Burn red candles on it for
three hours in the evening and three hours in the morning for six days.Turn the picture face up and continue the candle burning ritual for three more days. This will bring the person back.

       3rd Spell: Take the man's photograph and place it over the top of a small glass of water and put the glass under your bed. That will bring him back across the water to your bed.

       4th Spell: After sunset write the man's name on each of the four pieces of paper at the four corners of your house. Put the pieces of paper under you pillow before you go to bed. Every night for eight nights  thereafter, write his name on each of the four pieces of paper at each of the four corners of your house and sleep on them. He will come back.

***To Keep Another Man/Woman Away From Your Woman/Man
Take equal parts of crushed John the Conqueror root, lodestone, and sassafras. Crush them into a powder and sprinkle the powder into the drinking water of the person to be affected, that is, the one who poses the threat.

 May the wicked demon depart. May the demons sieze one another. The propitious demon, the propitious giant, may they penatrate his body. Spirit of the heavens, conjure it! Spirit of the earth, conjure it!

Spiders/Scorpions In The Stomach:
 Find a large spider and stab it with a nail. Gather the blood (depending on the spider this may take several) and heat it slowly until only powder remains. Put this powder in the victim's food.

Holy Weapon:
 Inscribe upon a sword; "I wield the large sword of Heaven to cut down specters in their five shapes; one stroke of this divine blade disperses a myriad of these beings."

Follow whoever it is you wish to love and when they step into a piece of  soil and leave their footprint scoop up the dirt and put it into a flower  pot. Plant a sunflower in the pot and as the flower grows so will his/her love for you!

If you are uneasy about plane travel try this silent visualization spell for  protection: Close your eyes and relax. Visualize a blue light forming all around the airplane. Call on the 4 guardian spirits to watch over and protect. Feel the presence of the Goddess and God all around. Encompass yourself with a circle of protective light too. Spell for Getting Rid of Pain
Take 2 chairs, put both facing each other. Sit in the one that is most comfortable. Look at the other chair and envision your pain and/or suffering sitting on that chair. Go into as much visualization detail as possible for about 15 minutes. This should help your headaches, pains etc. After about 2 hours it should be safe to move the chairs again. Your pain should dissipate.

Calling The Luck of The Fairy Folk

This incantation can be done anytime during the summer, when the fireflies are out. Can be performed clothed but is best done skyclad. You must find a VERY quite and private place to do the incantation. Start with your arms out and walk in an open area that fireflies are in. Stop in the same position and call upon the great mother with the following chant:

Ritual to Invoke the Power of the Goddess and God
I came up with this while reading one night and now I use it every time before I cast a spell:

Assume the posture of the Goddess (place feet about two feet apart, with your arms outstretched, palms facing away from you) and gesture the symbol og the Goddess with your left hand (create a half circle with your thumb and forefinger and press your other fingers to your palm) and look down. Say:

    "Mother Earth, Diana, Goddess and creator of all fertile things and the moon, I/we invoke thee.
    Bless us by channeling your power to this circle so I/we may spread it throughout the world."

Assume the posture of the God (feet together, body held ridgidly upright, arms crossed on the chest, right over left) and form the symbol of the God (ring :or small finger: and index fingers held up, with the thumb holding the others down) and look up. Say:

    "Father Sky, Apollo, God and creator of all wild things and the sun, I/we invoke thee.
    Bless us by channeling your power to this circle so I/we may spread it throughout the world.

Breaking a Spell Cast on You

Get a white candle and place it in a holder. Place the holder in the middle of your cauldron. Fill the cauldron with water so that the candle extends above the rim of the cauldron and above the water. Light the candle and visualize the spell being broken. As soon as the flame burns down and touches the water, it will go out. Dig a hole in the earth and pour the in the rest of the water and bury the candle. So shall it be!

Rune Candle Spell
Place a candle in its holder in the color you would like:
White: protection, purification, peace
Red: strength, health, passion, courage
Light Blue: healing, patience, happiness
Dark Blue: change, psychic work
Green: money, fertility, growth, employment
Yellow: intellect, attraction, study, divination
Brown: healing animals, stability
Pink: love, friendship
Orange: stimulation, energy
Purple: power, healing diseases, meditation
Black: Divine power, protection from negativity

Scratch the appropriate rune into the candle just below the top and lightit. As you light it say: "Lunar light protect me." As soon as the candle melts down past where the rune is extinguish it, preferably not by blowing. Good luck!

A Talisman for Strength
Take a smooth and shapely rock and on one face carve the rising sunand crescent moon, horns up. Upon the reverse carve the words: "Strength of stone/be in my bone/strength of light/sustain my fight."

Helpful Hint
Recently I have begun experimenting with the use of Magick in the kitchen. One such example of this is in the baking of breads. First, I ask the Goddess to bless all that I do. I put on a peaceful and soothing CD and begin the dough. As I mix the ingredients, I visualize the notes from the song dancing across the room to be absorbed into the dough. When I start to knead my bread, I imagine working the music into the dough, filling it with positive energy and light. As I shape my loaves, I visualize my breads giving positive energy to all who eat them. When I am done in the kitchen, I not only have great bread, but I feel totally relaxed and
at peace with the world.

House Blessing

The best house blessing I've ever used (and believe me I've needed it) is as follows: Assemble a candle, incense, dish of water, dish of salt. Bless the items, then go around the house opening all the windows and doors. Take the salt and walk around the house in a clockwise pattern, clockwise within each room. Throw a pinch of salt into each corner, through each doorway and out each window. As you toss it, see it burning away negativity and repeat as you go, "By the power of Salt I cleanse this house". After you've done the salt, light the incense and repeat all actions making sure a little of the smoke drifts through all doorways and windows. See it blowing away all negativity, say"By the power of Air I cleanse this house". Repeat with the candle, shining its light through all doorways and windows, say "By the power of Fire I cleanse this house". Last is the water, sprinkle it into each corner and
through the doorways and windows, "By the power of water I cleanse this house". Repeat this statement for each element several times in each room. When you are done, feel the energy of the house. If it needs repeating, repeat it, but I've never needed to. Works wonders!

A Spell for Bedtime
Before bedtime, light the candles of all directions and cast the circle. Thank and talk to the Goddess/God about your fear, happiness or whatever you need to tell them about. When finished, blow out the candles and dismiss the circle. You will be calm and ready for sleep.

Discovering the God and Goddess
I have noticed that a few of the submissions in the Book of Shadows neglect the God and favor the Goddess. Perhaps this is because many may feel that a mother-creator is easier to imagine. We must all take the time to meditate upon what the God and Goddess mean in our lives. This exercise is an artistic expression, however that does not mean it is strictly for artists. The potential for creativity is in each of us. The idea is to express everything that the God & Goddess inspire in you. Choose any medium that appeals to you (you may prefer sculpture to painting, or acrylic to watercolor). Find a spot that inspires you and create a space
for yourself. Light candles, burn your favorite incense, play any music that you feel might help you create. Close your eyes. Beginning with the Goddess, visualize exactly how you would envision Her, were She ever to manifest herself. Create your vision of the Goddess. Do the same for the God. When the two are completed, place them on your altar or store them somewhere special. Draw upon your creations from time to time as a reminder that the power of the God and Goddess is not unatainable, it is within each of us. Blessed Be!

My Own Love Spell

In a darkened, quiet room, light two candles (mine were red) and think of them as you and the person you desire. Select a comfortable spot a few feet away from the candles, and assume this position: Back straight, arms loosely folded, legs crossed "indian style". Relax your body. Roll your neck around a few times, loosen up. Breath in and out deeply at first, then slowly and easily. Clear your mind of all thought. Now think really hard about the person that you wnat to attract. Think of the two of you being happy together, having fun. Imagine yourselves as a couple, doing things together. Imagine this union as being for the highest
good of everyone involved. Imagine how you will attract him/her, imagine yourself as being the most desirable creature in the world. Think of yourself catching his/her eye at a party, in school or wherever you see him/her. Basically just "thinking" about something really hard, visualizing all aspects can sometimes make it happen! It worked for me! I hope this helps someone else. And remember, I thought this up...and everything will happen for the best of all involved...so don't blame me if it doesn't work! A Wish Spell to Diana

You may use this only three times in between the new moons. While gazing at the moon, repeat the following:
"Moon, moon, beautiful moon, brighter that any star, Goddess of light and love, Diana if it might be, pray bring fortune unto me".
A sign that the spell worked would be coins doubling in the purse or pocket, or seeing a hare before dawn. Note: The spell won't work if done with evil intent.

Beauty Ritual

I have found that it is easy to invoke personal beauty by taking a warm bath filled with petals from fresh roses. Vanilla incense and candle light also enhance the ritual. While in the bath chant repeatedly "Earth, Air, Fire, Sea...Let the Goddess' beauty shine through me".

My Favorite Blessing Ritual(simple yet effective)

1. All you do is simply take the object that you are blessing and pass it through a flame (or your representation of fire) and ask the Goddess of Fire to bless it.

2. Sprinkle some water on the object and then ask the Goddess of Water to bless in her power and only for the use of that.

3. Pass the object through the smoke of incense and ask the Goddess of Air to bless it in her power for her use and only to conduct good.

4. Hold the object to the North and ask the Goddess of Earth to bless it and use it in her power for the use of good and to do what thou wilt.

Spell To Beckon A Person

Say the following:

"If you are turning towards me

If you are saying my name
know that I say your name and call you to me
and come to me in love"

Say the person's name three times. You may need to recite the whole spell several times in oder to feel the proper effect. I have found this spell to be useful.

A Simple House Cleaning Ritual

Preparation: make or buy purification incense. Common ingredients are sandalwood (2 parts), frankincense (3 parts), sage (1 part), bay or camphor. Ritual: Burn incense in a censer in the middle of the area to be purified. If you are purifying a multi-level house, one censor every other level will do. Then open windows and wait until smell is gone. You may proceed with a protection spell if you like.

Candle Magic Love Spell

Find a piece of paper pretty and pleasing to you. Write your name and birthdate on it then write the name of the person want to love you with their birthdate *Rhiannon recommends simply writing LOVE and not a person's name - that way you will invoke a relationship that is for the good of ALL - if your specific person is meant to be your lover this will work just as well.*

Draw a heart around the names - three times. Fold the paper up as small as you can then burn it with a pink or red candle chanting: "Light the flame, bright the fire, red is the color of my desire." Say this until the paper has burned up.
