After doing a strong purification, casting a circle, calling the quarters, and doing a strong "tree meditation" (as in Starhawk's Spiral Dance):  Visualize the essence of each of the elemental energies within and say affirmations identifying with each of the elements, and with what you affirm:

     "I am Earth, I am centered and strong.
      I am the vessel through which my True Will manifests.

      I am Air, I am focused.
      My mind is keen and tuned to reveal my True Will.

      I am Fire, I have the power within
      to know my True Will and to act upon it.

      I am Water, I am sensitive, intuitive, and magickal.
      The waters of my inner consciousness are calm, clear and clean.
      I am able to see into my depths and to know my True Will.

      I am Spirit. I am all that is.
      I am Balance and Unity. I am that from which my True Will comes."

Consecrate a candle with five elemental tools and do a free form chant to dedicate the candle to aid in knowing your true will.  Light the candle and place it in front of you. Gazing at the candle, meditate on the following, one at a time: Know thyself, areas where your are uncertain of your true will, your commitment to act on your True Will when you know it, and spiritual growth from knowledge of self.  Then chant until you feel unity with the light from the flame

         "Candle light, candle glow, inner sight, will to know."

You should then go into a trance and get direct messages from deep within.  When you have received what you need, tell yourself to remember your insights and take a few deep breaths and return to the circle.  Then say something like

        "Though I extinguish this candle flame and end this rite,
          may I always be aware of the flame of will that burns within me,
          and may I always act according to my True Will, born of Spirit.
          So mote it be"

and blow out the candle.

Cast your circle.  Have 2 candles: 1 white one for the baby and 1 (of some color that feels right) for the mother.  Light both candles and then chant something to the effect of

      "...for the mother and child... may all be well..."

until it feels right to stop. Break your circle and let the candles burn down to nothing.

             "Circle of Reflection,
              Circle of Protection,
              May the sender of all harm,
              Feel the power of this charm."

That's how I do it, your mileage may vary.

        "I cast this circle in the name of the Lord and Lady"

Three times.  Then invoke your god or goddess.  I like to use Apollo for healing.  He is the god of healing and sunshine, therefore a great choice.  Say something simple like:

        "Mighty Apollo, please aid me in my working
         That my (love,partner, friend, husband, etc.) might be healed."

Three times.  Then place your hands over the afflicted area.  Let your own healing energy form a barrier around your hands so the illness doesn't enter you.  Visualize a field of energy (negative) around the afflicted area that contains the taint of pain or whatever.  With your hands, push the
negative energy from the person into the ground.  Do this several times until you feel the area has been cleansed.  While doing this chant something like:

        "May your pain be gone." Or "Let my love (whatever) be healed."

Until the area seems free of the negative energy.  Then take a healing crystal, I like to use amethyst, either in your hand, or I like to use a necklace that can be placed on the person, and
envision healing energy coming from it and enveloping the afflicted area.  The energy should be replacing the negative energy you just removed.  Say something helpful like:

        "May this healing power soothe you and make you stronger"

As many times as it takes for the area to be positively "charged".  Then offer your thanks to the deity involved.  Something like:

        "Thank you, mighty Apollo for your aid in my working"

Three times. Remember to ground any excess energy into the ground when you are
completely done with the working, but before you open the circle.  Then open the circle by saying something like:

       "I open this circle in the name of the Lord and Lady.
        May it be open but never broken"

Three times.  Smile and tell your friend the spell is complete.  He or she may then get up or lie in comfort in the warm sun.

Tarot cards required:
JUSTICE
8 OF WANDS
JUDGEMENT

Cards will be laid out on alter with JUSTICE on top, left hand...8 OF WANDS in middle, JUDGEMENT bottom right hand.  they will be in a diagonal like a backslash  " \ "  (hope that makes sense to you all) This layout symbolizes favorable judgements being handed down.

JUSTICE applies to the making of decisions which are necessary to dispense justice and maintain  law and order.
The 8 OF WANDS represents swiftness in approaching goals, to help you from being inconvenienced by the slowness of the legal system and all the bureaucracies involved.  JUDGEMENT is here applied literally for a favorable judgement.

Since legal proceedings always involve paperwork, you probably have lots of papers pertaining to your matter.  Stack them in a pile and when you do the spell, you can lay the cards on top of them.  if you wish to use accessories for this spell, use candles, flowers, crystals and gemstones, and cloth to lay them upon, in shades or combinations of shades of white (representing purity of intentions) or purple (which stands for dignity and authority, and is also the color worn by American law facilities)  if financial gain is the hoped for outcome of your legal action, consider including shades of green and gold.

Perform this spell just before or soon after beginning or becoming involved in a legal action.  Before working this spell, open your circle...light your candles, and insense if you have them.  (i always use insense in my spells)  When ready, lay the cards out as stated above.

First, set JUSTICE in place (on top of your papers if you have any) envision everyone involved in your action - lawyers, judges, witnesses, etc... - as being friendly, benevolent, and favorably disposed toward you.  Picture the legal authorities considering your case, weighing all the merits of
your argument; picture them smiling as they agree that you should win the case...

Next, set the 8 OF WANDS in place.  Picture your case being handled efficiently.  There are no barriers or delays; the legal machinery moves smoothly, steadily, and swiftly as all the necessary actions are taken to conclude your case.

Finally, set JUDGEMENT in place.  Picture your elation as the judgement is announced -- you have won your case!!  Think of the favorable impact and the positive changes you will be able to make, now that justice has ruled in your favor.

When you have finished your meditation, spread your hands over the card
layout, and carefully recite the following affirmation:

         "With these cards and with this spell,
          I call upon all good forces
          to help me win my case!
          Justice is done.
          The court hears me,
          the court favors me.
          All moves swiftly.
          All moves easily.
          A decision is made,
          victory is mine!
          My case is won;
          and harmony and balance

Close your circle now, thanking the Lord and Lady for help in making your wish come true.  When you make y our court appearances, you can carry the JUSTICE card in your purse or pocket to serve as a good luck amulet.

You will need to set your alter up with one black candle, two white candles.  You will also need a stick with the persons name carved into it and thread in an appropriate colour for your work (eg: black for binding bad
energy, red for love binding etc) If you have a photo of the person it is even better than the stick.

Light your two white candles and then you black candle - focus on the picture or stick, then take your thread and slowly wind it around the picture/stick and say the following chant three times:

Place the stick/picture in a spellbox or mojo bag and keep it in a safe place or if you are extremely certain of what you are doing bury it under a tree.

*~Spell to banish Negativity~*
An excellent spell is to simply to take a hot bath and delicately place an egg in the tub with you. Be careful not to break it, just let it gently float around in the tub with you and banish your negative energy, whether it be sorrow, pain, fear, anger, stress, worry, etc.. When you exit the tub allow the water to drain before removing the egg.

*~Spell to ward off the Boogeyman~*
To ward off evil spirits or dreams, place a bowl of fresh spring water on the bedstand.Slowly add a pinch of sea salt and sya "Evil spirits touch me not nor mine.Thy power I drain into this brine." You must use three pinches of salt in total and repeat the verse as you add each pinch of salt. In the morning empty the bowl down the toilet or sink. Repeat as often as necessary.

*~Apple Love Spell~*
Cut and apple in half.Offer half to your desired. If he or she accepts the apple and eats it, he or she will be yours. Another is .. Simply twist the stem of an apple, on each rotation call out a letter of the alphabet. Begin with A. The letter you call as the stem breaks apart from the apple will be the initial of your true love.

*~Spell to Eliminate Poverty~*
Based on a new Orleans voodoo formula, this spell will insure that you always have the staples in life. Fill a bowl with equal parts sugar,salt,rice. Place an open safety pin in it's center. Keep the bowl out in the open to eliminate poverty.

*~Spell for Prophetic Dreams~*
Poppy is used to induce trances or sleep and to reveal information while in a dream state. Bagles with their round shape and hole in the center symbolize the moon or feminine intuition. Place a poppy seed bagel under your pillow at night. Take a bite first thing in the morning to remember your dream.

*~GOOD RIDDANCE! ~*
Here is another good spell for getting rid of an unwanted suitor. Take a small square of paper and write on it the name of the annoying would-be lover. Use black ink for this. Many Gypsies also say that it is best to use
one of the old "dip" pens and ink, rather than a modern ballpoint, but you could experiment. Let the ink dry; don't blot it. Then light a white candle and burn the piece of paper in its flame while thinking of the person running away from you. Catch the ashes in something (burning the paper over an ashtray is a good idea) and carry them out to a hillside (you can do this by putting them in a small plastic bag, similar). There you must place the ashes on the upturned palm of your right hand and hold it up, saying: Winds of the North, East, South and West, Carry these affections to where they'll be best. Let her/his heart be open and free, And let her/his mind be away from me. Then blow on the ashes so that they scatter to the winds.

*~TO ATTRACT A LOVER~*This is when you have a lover but he or she is not as attentive as you would wish. You know they love you but... Sit before a dying fire and gaze into it, clearing your mind of all but thoughts of your lover. Have a small basket of laurel leaves between your knees. Keeping your gaze fixed on the fire, dip your left hand into the basket, take out a handful of leaves, and toss them onto the fire. As they burst into flames, chant out loud the following:

"Laurel leaves that burn in the fire,
Draw unto me my heart's desire."

Wait until the flames have died down, then repeat the action. Do it a third time. Within 24 hours your lover will come to visit

*~KEY TO THE HEART~*
It is considered very lucky to find a key. Any sort of key is lucky, but an antique one is especially so. As with the finding of something red, there are words to say at the time of finding it:

"The key to your heart lies on the ground.
The key to your heart has now been found.
I lock up your love with the heart of my own,
I'll guard it forever with the love I have shown."

As you say these words, think of the one you love and of the two of you being together forever. Sleep with the key under your pillow for nine nights, carrying it with you during the day. It may then be put in a place of safety.

*~THE LOVE PENDULUM~*
The pendulum can be used for many things: finding lost objects, discovering hidden treasures, divining water, communicating with spirits of the dead, diagnosing illness an prescribing medicine...all these and more. Gypsies use the pendulum quite a lot. One of the uses to which they put it is in determining whether or not a particular lover is the right one for you. The pendulum itself should be a ring suspended on a length of red silk thread or ribbon. Many girls use their mother's wedding band for the ring. The only other thing you need is a connection with the one you are wondering about. This can be an article of his or her clothing, a handkerchief, a watch, ring, or other piece of jewelry, a photograph, or anything similar that has a direct link with the person. Simply sit with the object, photograph, or whatever in front of you and hold the pendulum over it. It doesn't matter whether or not your elbow rests on the table, but hold the thread so that the ring is suspended about an inch or so above the object. Allow seven inches of the thread between your fingers and the ring. Concentrate your thoughts on the person you are wondering about. Is he/she the right one for you? Think of all their good qualities, and their bad. Then say:

Av, ml Romani mal,
Pawdel dur chumbas.
Av kitane mansa?

This little verse in Romanes (the Gypsy language) can be roughly translated as "Come my Gypsy friend, over the hills so far away. Will you come along with me?" Repeat it, saying it three times in all. As you say the verse the pendulum will start to swing. If it swings backwards and forwards, towards you and away from you, then it means "yes," that person is the right one for you. But if it swings from side to side, across you, then it means "no," they are not right for you. With some people the pendulum may swing in a circle, rather than backwards and forwards. If it does, then clockwise means "Yes" and counterclockwise means "no".

*~RED FOR LOVE~*
The Gypsies say that to find anything red means luck in love. If you find a piece of red thread, red wool, a red button, or whatever, pick it up and carry it with you for luck. It serves as an amulet. As you stoop to pick it up, think of the person you love and say:

Red is my blood
And red is my heart.
Lucky in love;
Never keep us apart.

Take four black candles and put them at each of the cardinal points of your house. Next to each candle put a piece of onyx or lodestone or a piece of magnetized iron. Light the four candles and see them sucking up all the
negative energy in the house and channeling it back into the earth through the stones. Next take a stick of incense (frankincense or sandalwood is best) and draw a banishing pentagram of Earth* at each window, wall, door and
corner of your house. Visualize the negative energy being pushed beyond the pentagram and locked outside as you complete it. After the candles have burned a bit and you feel that the have absorbed the negative energies
bury them outside around the house (in the four directions) . Leave the stones where they are, and visualize them as a spiritual electric fence that keeps your visitor from coming back in. Usually after being drained and forced outside, spirits tend to move on, but be prepared to do the spell again if he is persistent.

*Start at lower left then up to top then down to right then across to upper left point and back to upper right point and finish at lower left point

Supplies:
1 White candle or your birth-color candle
Incense: violet, strawberry, pineapple, orange, allspice, aloe or daffodil

Light the candle. From that flame, light the incense.  Watch the smoke rise and visualize your wish. Be specific
while concentrating on your wish.  Say the following:
         "Smoke be the messenger of this rite;
          Carry high my thoughts and dreams
          With your tendrils curling so.
          Whisper my wishes in the wind.
          Carry my aspirations to the stars,
          My deep feelings to the moon,
          The light inside me to the sun,
          My fears to the distant planets.
          Let my message fall to the earth
          After being sent up by fire.
          Flow through water calm and clear
          And let the air raise it again
          To north, south, east and west;
          Down to the earth and up to the sky.
          Let Goddess and all hear my wish.
          Let this smoke be my messenger
          As the fire burns.
          So mote it be."
When you are done, let the incense and candle burn out. 

Take five black candles and place them at the five points of the pentagram. As you light each of them imagine that the flame is creating a wall of protection on that side of you. Sit at the center of the pentagram. Concentrate on your wish to banish the evil  spirit. Chant 13 times:

        Ashes to ashes
        Spirit to spirit
        Take this soul
        Banish this evil!

Snuff out the candles starting from the upper right point of the pentagram (Water), so that the last one to snuff out is the one that symbolizes the Spirit.

Ingredients: paper, pen and ink, two mirrors, black
thread, candles (black or white), salt
water; myrrh oil mixed with comfrey, hemp, dwale
(deadly nightshade), thyme, mullein, or
any three of these herbs.

Procedure: Write or draw on the paper what you would banish. Charge it with the full force of your repulsion. Anoint with oil, then with salt water, in the form of a waning moon.  Fold the paper and place between two mirrors, with the reflecting sides facing IN. Bind them securely together with black thread or yarn and drip candle wax around the edges to seal. While you do this, envision the energy which emanates from the object of your
spell being bounced back on itself, unable to pass the barriers you have set up around it. Say:

        "Your eyes are shut,
         your cord is cut,
         go back to the Mother
         with Death as your lover.
         So mote it be."

Take the spell to a place where it will not be disturbed and bury it, saying,

      "By night your eyes are blinded,
       by clay your ears are stopped,
       by earth your mouth is sealed,
       by rock your limbs are bound;
       Thus I lay you down to rest,
       still and silent in the ground.
       As I do will, so mote it be."

When you have finished the burial, kneel on the ground and say:

Say his or her name slowly three times, and then take a picture of you, put the piece of paper words down or the photograph of the one you want to love you, face down on top of your picture. Wrap up these pictures or paper, and wrap with it a CAMOMILE teabag in a BLUE cloth.  Put the package in a safe place.  To make sure the one you want to love you, gets your message, light the candles at 8 every night and repeat his/her name
three times.

The best time to  cast this spell is at 12 midnight on a saturday Collect the items together and find a quiet place where you can be undisturbed, Light the candle, and relax.  Then take the PEN and write his/her name on one end of the paper and the name of the one you want him./her to break up with, at the other side. Tear off the end of the paper where you have written his/her name, wrap it up in a pair of your underpants and put it under your bed.  Put the other piece of paper with the name of the one you want him/her to break up with,in the ashtray and sprinkle a little of the peppermint over it.  Now, burn the paper in the ashtray and repeat these words:

      Only love that is
      deserved shall be,
      with me he/she shall
      remain.....SO Mote it Be.

When the paper has completed burned to ashes, wait till it has cooled and throw it out of the window as far as you can.

THE SIGNIFICATOR represents the individual, institution or organization in question.  to choose a card, you pick the tarot card that best represents the person/institution you want to change...(if you do not know many of the cards and their representations, there are many books that have this information) The WHEEL OF FORTUNE represents all factors and forces that are to be invoked to stimulate change.  JUDGEMENT represents major changes and improvements.the color RED could represent the energy and impulse needed to set changes in
motion.  ORANGE also represents directed energy. WHITE stands for psychic energy as well as purity of intention.

this spell can be performed at any time, although the moon's waxing phase is especially auspicious.

open your circle as you usually do...

light your candles

when ready, lay the cards out according to the diagram.  " / " first, set down the card that you consider to be the best SIGNIFICATOR for the person or org to be influenced by this spell.  if you were able to obtain anything belonging to the subject, pick it up, feel it and stroke it.  in your minds eye, picture the individual or institution in question.  think about the problems you have encountered with the subject, and how positive changes are needed in order to make life easier for everyone concerned.

next, set down the WHEEL OF FORTUNE. picture the steps needed to be taken for this person or org to gain the consciousness and the desire to make improvements.  picture these steps being taken in a realistic manner.  things being discussed, considered, action being taken, how it would be taken, who would manage it, how it would be accomplished, and how it would continue to be carried out in the future.

finally, set JUDGEMENT in place.  visualize the subject entity as being transformed quickly and permanently into something new and better.

Protection Spell for the Home and Inhabitants using the Elements.

*First I do not recommend casting a circle for this since you will be moving around the house throughout the whole thing*

You will need the following items:
A protection incense of your choice (I feel it is better to use what you are comfortable with then something I say you have to use :o) ) You can also use a smudge stick if you prefer.
Water that has been blessed (although you can bless it right before you start)
A white or purple taper candle with a wise holder so the wax does not drip
Earth that has been blessed (you can use salt if you prefer)

Set up all the things you will need before starting this so you do not have to stop in the middle to get it all. When you are ready call to the Elements (do not quarter call them as it restricts them to one area), starting with the incense -- start in the room you called the elements to. Go to each window and door and outline them with the incense and say
           "Element of Air
            please cleanse this home of negativity,
            let none who would cause harm upon this home,
            or its inhabitants enter here".
When finished proceed to the next room (if possible do it clockwise, if not no harm done) until you have done
all the rooms and doors in the home (including the doors to other rooms).

Return to your starting point and light the candle and, beginning with the same window or door you originally started with, proceed through the home saying in the same fashion
          "Element of Fire
           please cleanse this home of negativity,
           let none who would cause harm upon this home,
           or its inhabitants enter here".

Return to the starting point and get the water and go through the house in the same fashion except on the windows and doors that lead outside draw a pentacle upon them and doors leading to other rooms just pour a little into your hand and sprinkle around the frame saying
             "Element of Water
              please cleanse this home of negativity,
              let none who would cause harm upon this home
               or its inhabitants enter here".

Return to your starting point and get the Earth and go through the house in the same fashion except with the earth in the window sills draw a pentacle (it does not have to be perfect just as long as you do it). Sprinkle a small amount around all the doors of the home. When you have completed the circuit with the earth return to your starting points and spend a few moments in meditation on the home feel the elements cleansing it of negativity and a fresh feeling coming into it. Afterwards thank the elements and let them know that the spell is completed.

This method is slightly messy but has done wonders in my home, it works so
well that I only need to do it about once every six months or so.

items needed:
1 white candle
1 mirror

Sit in front of the mirror, turn off the lights and light the candle. Set the candle next to the mirror so the light can hit your face, but so you will NOT see the candle in the mirror. After this is done, look into your eyes and say:
            "Oracle of lunar light
             Send to me the second sight"
Stare into your eyes and do NOT blink. Your reflection will dissolve and another will appear. Try to look at the face, body, clothing, and surroundings. After you do this you will have emotions you cannot explain. Dont worry, they will go away in a few minutes.

You will need to set your alter up with one black candle, two white candles. You will also need a stick with the persons name carved into it and thread in an appropriate colour for your work (eg: black for binding bad
energy, red for love binding etc) If you have a photo of the person it is even better than the stick.

This is used to prevent someone from giving away a secret.  Use a wax or clay effigy or a cloth Poppet.  In ritual it is named for the person it represents.  Then, with appropriate words, take a needle threaded with a 21
inch length of red silk and sew up the mouth of the figure.  Finish off by winding the thread all around the body of the figure.  The concentration is on the fact that the person is unable to speak on the forbidden subject - whatever the secret may be that is being safeguarded.  At the end of the ritual the Poppet is stored away in a safe place, wrapped in a piece of white cloth.  So long as the thread remains in place, the person represented
is bound.
